Dircetur makes technical visit of the tourist attractions of the Ambo corridor, Huánuco, Tingo Maria

DIRCETUR UNDERTAKES A TECHNICAL TOUR OF THE TOURIST ATTRACTIONS OF THE AMBO, HUÁNUCO, TINGO MARIA CORRIDOR FOR THE TRIP AND PRESS TOUR OF THE EXPOAMAZÓNICA 2023.

Within the framework of Expoamazónica 2023, DIRCETUR, in coordination with PROMPERÚ, is planning a familiarization trip (Just Trip) with tour operators and travel and tourism agencies from the city of Lima; likewise, it seeks to carry out a promotional trip with the national and international media (Press Tour) to position our main tourist corridor.

This is why, from 22 to 25 August, technical visits were carried out to evaluate the facilities and basic infrastructure of tourist attractions.

Among the tourist attractions that received the technical visits in Huánuco and Ambo are the Huánuco Plaza de Armas, Puente Calicanto, La Casa de la Perricholi, the Kotosh Monumental Archaeological Zone and the Cachigaga Fundo. In Tingo Maria there were technical visits of tourist attractions such as the Mirador de Jacintillo, Cave of the Owls, Sulfurous Waters, Serpentario Animal Paradise, Catarata Honolulo, the Butterfly Green Villa and Butterfly Mount Alto. Dircetur and Promperu, designed an itinerary where these attractions were prioritized with a greater tourist vocation.

For its validation, efforts were articulated in conjunction with local governments such as the Provincial Municipality of Huánuco, District Municipality of Tomayquichua, Provincial Municipality of Leoncio Prado, District Municipality Mariano Dámaso Beraún and the District Municipality of Castillo Grande. In addition, there was the coordination of managers of tourist resources, Association of Travel Agencies, Tourism Police; and tour operators in Huánuco and Tingo María.
